The University of Central Oklahoma faced WCHL conference foe, The University of Nevada Las Vegas in the first semi final game of the ACHA Men’s DI National Championship Tournament at the Centene Community Ice Center located in St. Louis Missouri Monday night. UCO fell behind early in the match as it looked like UNLV would finally get one over on the Bronchos. “We knew that UNLV would be a tough game. We played them earlier in the season and it is difficult to beat a team like UNLV 3 times in one season,” Head Coach Micheal Rivera said, “But our team was built for this. We will be ready for the challenge.” Rivera was right, the Bronchos stormed back in the third period to tie the game and eventually take the lead with only minutes left in the matchup to advance to their third attempt for the national title. The Bronchos will face the winner of Lindenwood University and Adrian College for all the marbles Tuesday night.
